Ms. Cleckner graduated from Syracuse University College of Law in 2006 and is admitted to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia and New York State. Janet began her career as Judicial Assistant to Chief United States District Judge John T. Curtin after graduating from Niagara County Community College’s AAS Legal Secretarial program. She was awarded the Erie County Bar Association’s Special Service Award in 2007. Janet returned to Buffalo State College in the evening, graduating with a B.S. in Criminal Justice magna cum laude, and thereafter taking a lengthy hiatus from her studies while she and her husband raised their four children.
